MOU with Saman-e-Shifa Foundation, Pakistan

During the Ceremony, a MOU of Saman-e-Shifa foundation was also signed with Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology Karachi.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Ehsanullah Khan Kakar, Vice Chancellor of BUETK urged the need for strong linkage between industry and academia, He further added that Balochistan UET Khuzdar shall make every effort to create a conducive environment where bio-medical equipment can be manufactured at reduced cost with innovation and commercialization meeting the international industrial requirements.

The features of the MOU include liaison by Saman-e-Shifa foundation related with medical equipment manufacturing with focus on quality and standardization, reverse engineering and strong connection with academia and using their expertise for mass commercial production of medical equipment used in clinical and surgical practices, involving faculty, students and researchers of the University.

At the occasion Honourable Chancellor SSUET Mr. Jawaid Anwar, Vice Chancellor Sir Syed University Prof Dr. Vali Uddin, CEO of Saman-e-Shifa foundation Prof Dr. Shahid Noor, Mr. Riasat Ali Changazi, Registrar SSUET Engr. Cdre (R) Syed Sarfraz Ali , Deans SSUET, Director General ORIC BUETK Dr Shabbar Naqvi, Manager Research Operations ORIC BUETK Mr. Aslam Zaib, and other high officials of SSUET were also present.
