IIDA Students Transfer Program 2023/24

A team from the International Interchange Development Association (IIDA) of the Republic of Korea headed by IIDA President Mun Yong-ja Visited & Signed the Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Vice Chancellor of Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar (BUETK) on 29-30th June, 2022. IIDA has established a Korean language center at BUET, Khuzdar. A hallmark of this initiative is start of the talent hunt program for the students of BUETK Studying in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) and Software Engineering. The selected students of BUETK through this program will get an opportunity to Study at South Korean Universities and then Work with Korean Industries on E-7 Visa which will help them in gaining quality industrial experience and then transfer that back to Pakistan leading to socio economic development of Pakistan in general and Balochistan in particular. This collaboration is linked with Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships to achieve SDGs) which will also help in meeting the target of Sustainable Development for Pakistan under UN Vision 2030 and enhancing Pakistan-South Korea relations.

Important Note!

Students who are interested to apply for International Interchange Development Association (IIDA) of the Republic of Korea students transfer Program are requested to carefully read the following complete procedure of this program:

  1. Police Verification is must from their local Districts police stations.
  2. In the first Korean batch, only (Engineering, Computer Science, IT & Software) students are allowed to apply.
  3. Selected students will complete their degree at BUETK in 5 years instead of 4 years because of one year break from the regular studies.
  4. Selected Students will Complete their Korean Language Course at BUETK from Feb, 2023 to Jan, 2024. 
  5. After passing their language course Test, they will be Eligible for Visa process.
  6. Successful Students will hold their studies at BUETK for one year and join the Koran university to study same field subjects in Korean language at South Korea. The expenditure of study abroad will be borne by Federal Government of Pakistan and Government of Balochistan.
  7. After Completing their one-year course work at Korea, students will join BUETK for completing remining courses to get the Degree from parent university BUETK.
  8. After Completing Bachelor’s degree in their relevant disciplines, they will join Korean industries for two years for paid job. All the expenses of two years living at Korea will be bared by graduates from their own salaries.

What is the eligibility criteria?

Only Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering Students are eligible for this program.

Selected student may required to submit affidavit or Declaration of term & condition duly signed by their parents or guardian.
