Biomedical Engineering

Currently, we are offering only a four-year undergraduate program in Biomedical Engineering.

Our program teaching methodology is outcome-based education with a significant focus on enabling students to comprehend interdisciplinary knowledge and implement it to solve complex biomedical engineering problems.

We provide students with a teaching environment where they can develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Our professional and trained faculty members instill ethical values and innovation in our students that will help them in lifelong learning and career development pathways.

Program Objectives

  • PEO 01: The graduates shall demonstrate their skills in solving challenges in Biomedical Engineering through core foundations in engineering, medicine and biology primarily focused on human health and well-being.
  • PEO 02: The graduates shall contribute to society with effective leadership skills by exhibiting professional, ethical values and communicating effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • PEO 03: We ensure their technical competence, and the graduates shall participate in learning opportunities throughout their careers in Biomedical Engineering.
  • PEO 04:  We instill research acumen in our graduates, and they shall develop innovative and sustainable engineering solutions and commercialize them using their entrepreneurial skills to support the nation’s economy.

Eligibility Criteria

Equal seats for students from a pre-medical and pre-engineering background with 10% weightage of Matriculation marks, 40% Intermediate / F.Sc. Marks, and 50% of the entry test conducted by BUETK. The total intake of students is forty in each batch.
