A team from the International Interchange Development Association (IIDA) of the Republic of Korea headed by IIDA President Mun Yong-ja visited the Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar on 29-30 June, 2022 to establish free of cost Korean language center at BUET, Khuzdar.
The team also held a meeting with the Vice Chancellor and shared the objectives of the visit and briefed him of the establishment of the Korean Language Center for Balochistan Youth. The IIDA will train students online and establish a Korean language lab at the University, which will be a major milestone in the development of Balochistan.
The Vice Chancellor, BUET, Khuzdar-Dr. Ehsan Ullah Khan Kakar and President IIDA, Mr. Mun Yong-ja signed a memorandum of understanding. The MoU envisages collaboration between the two institutions to train the youth of Balochistan in learning of Korean language, facilitate students in pursuance of technical / higher education at Korean institutions and the IIDA also assist students in Korean visas for education, training and skill development.
The Vice Chancellor welcomed the ideas of IIDA and expressed thanks for establishing of Korean Language center at University. He admired the role of IIDA in delivering Korean education in Balochistan.
A presentation was organized for the team to share the facilities available from the University to establish the Korean Language center and Balochistan culture. The Pro-Vice Chancellor delivered the presentation to team under the leadership of Vice Chancellor. The Registrar, Dr. Jalal Shah, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Ali Raza Shah, Director General ORIC, Dr. Khair Kakar, Director Administration, Engr. Raza Zehri, Director Information Technology, Syed Jhangir Zafar and all HoDs were also participated in presentation.
The team visited the well-equipped intelligent classrooms, laboratories, the central library and other spaces. The team was very satisfied and appreciated the efforts made by the authorities to maintain university’s position with an international university standard. The team also praised the best teaching method, the experts from the faculty and the University’s examination system.
In the end, the Vice Chancellor thanked the team for visiting BUET Khuzdar to establish a Korean language center and he presented the shield of honors to team members on behalf of the University.
