BUETK and Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) signed an MoU.

Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar, (BUETK) and Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) on 3rd June, 2022 at Islamabad to promote the Digiskills program in Balochistan. Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti Rector Virtual University of Pakistan and Prof. Dr. Ehsan Ullah Khan Kakar Vice Chancellor Baluchistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar signed the MoU.
The Digiskills project for Sothern Balochistan has three universities including University of Turbat, University of Gawadar and Balochistan UET Khuzdar and their MOUs were also signed in the ceremony by the respected Vice Chancellors.
The MoU envisages collaboration between the two institutions to promote the Digiskills program for students of Balochistan in the province. Virtual University will also provide the experts to train the students. Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology will also provide space in its main campus and in future to sub-campuses to initiate the Digiskills course classes, which will be a great step in development of Baluchistan. This association would help the students of (BUETK) and youth of Balochistan to get quality skilled education through modern means of communication.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Ehsan Ullah Khan Kakar admired the role of Virtual University in delivering quality education across the country. He was of the view that this MoU will be mutually beneficial in promoting higher education.
In ceremony, Ignite CEO Mr. Asim Shahryar Husain and other Ignite Officials, Registrar VU Prof Dr. Mohsin Javed (Focal Person), Prof Dr. Fahim Ashraf Qureshi PD, Blended Learning Project, Engr. Dr. Shabbar Naqvi, DG ORIC BUETK (Focal Person), Mr. Aslam Zaib Director Sub-Campus Uthal (Coordinator) were also present on the occasion.
