There shall be two examinations, one annual and one supplementary
examination, which will be held at the completion of each academic
session on the date to be notified.
The chairman of all departments shall inform in writing to
the Controller of Examinations and Registrar about the completion
of the courses and termination / completion of the academic sessions.
Absence from examination for any reason, whatsoever, shall
be considered failure in the examination.
Application to the Examinations
A candidate who wishes to seek admission to an examination shall
submit to the Controller of Examinations, through the respective
Chairman, an application and requisite fee. He/She has also
to submit a certificate signed by the Chairman of the Department
concerned regarding his/her character/conduct being good as
well as fulfillment of the required attendance under the rules

Attendance Requirements
No candidate shall be admitted to an examination of the University
unless he fulfills the following conditions:-
a) He/She mush be enrolled in the University
b) He/she must have prosecuted the full course of study in each
subject prescribed for the examinations either in an affiliated
college or institute for the examination either in an affiliated
College or institute or in the University teaching department
c) He/She has attended a minimum of 75% of the total number
of the lecturers delivered, the laboratory periods held and
design/studies work and practical work done during the academic
year for which the examination is being held and must have completed
his/her sessional work satisfactorily. The Vice Chancellor may however,
condone shortage in attendance to the extent of 5% on medical
grounds or participation in co-curricular activities and for
any other valid reason. Condonation the Academic Council is
the competent authority
d) He/She must have paid fees, prescribed for the examination
Schedule of Examination
The schedule of Examinations for the theory examination shall
be issued by the Controller of Examinations. For practical examinations,
the schedule shall be formulated by the Chairman of each Department
and issued by the Controller of Examinations
Distribution of Marks a) Each theory paper and its sessional will be considered as a
separate head of passing.

Issue of Marks Sheets
A statement on a printed form, showing the marks obtained by
a candidate in each head of passing shall be supplied to candidates
by the Controller of Examination after the announcement of result
on payment of prescribed fee
Appearance Certificate
The appearance certificate will be
issued to the candidate by the examination branch after the
conduct of an examination and before the declaration of result
on payment of prescribed fee. After declaration of result, no
such certificate shall be issued
Award of Degree/Provisional Certificate
Each successful candidate at a degree examination shall ordinarily
receive his/her degree at the convocation held for the purpose.
Candidates who have been successful in their final examination
may receive a degree in absentia also. Degree or Provisional
Certificate shall be issued on production of a clearance or
no objection certificate on the prescribed form
Promotion
If a candidate is allowed to appear in a particular examination
having completed his/her attendance, sessional work as per rules,
he/she will be entitled for promotion in the next class but such
promotion will remain provisional unless the candidate passes
such previous examination
Withholding of Final Year Result
The final year result of a student, who has passed all his/her final
year papers and viva-voce practical but is still carrying papers
of lower class, shall not be declared until he/she has cleared all
the papers of lower class. His/her final year's result will be declared
with the session in which he/she clears his/her last paper of the degree programme
